We could have used this bread when we were living in Vlad's house.
With three entire heads of garlic it should have kept us quite safe.
The blanching and roasting will take most of the bite out of the garlic, leaving it very sweet, but it will also take away the protective properties of strong garlic breath….
Did I phrase that right?
Natashya, of Living in the Kitchen with Puppies and our host kitchen this month, says the dough is a tiny bit wet, but the rewards are well worth a wee bit of fussing.
She also says that when you bake this (and you should bake this) tell everyone that it makes two loaves…. That way you won't have to explain the fact that you ate the entire third one yourself, hot from the oven, slathered in melting butter.
Hmmmm….. There seems to be something wrong with this picture….
